Fred’s very first song at Listen Up was recorded entirely over Zoom meetings, taken from lyrics that he wrote himself during the pandemic. Eric worked with Fred to come up with a chord progression for the track, then Hayden helped lay down a drumbeat on a nearby notepad. After that, Jon added the piano and the guitar, and Fred sang vocals that were recorded over the Internet. The group worked together to mix the song, and here’s what Fred has to say about his debut:
“I wrote this song about how I would want to meet a girl. I hope you all like it, I have no experience in making music. This was my first single.”
