This track is a release from Listen Up Studio’s vintage locker from 2016, and its production is a combination of “then” and “now”, with additional instrument tracks and a remix added by Colin in 2020. The original track was produced as a collaboration recorded in the spring of 2016 at Listen Up Studio, and features original lyrics written and performed by John, along with original music & arrangement written & performed by Chuck.
In John’s own words:
“I had an idea in my mind about the song, and called it Grid Iron Jets, named after a football field in New York City. It is about a quarterback named Joe Willie Namath, the legend of the game, who wore the number twelve jersey. The song was inspired by Joe’s game and my NFL team, the New York Jets. I’d like to thank Chuck for creating music and arrangement for this song, and for playing piano and drums, and Colin for playing bass and saxophone.”
